Come as we unveil our recently restored portrait of David Crawford, the original owner of the Crawford House! Art conservator and restoration specialist Matt Soltis will walk us through the process of restoring the portrait, and he will share the information that the painting itself provides about Crawford and the currently unknown artist. The portrait, which will be hung in a place of prominence in the parlors, came to us as a donation last year from Jeanne Shipp Waldinger, a descendant of David Crawford. Come and enjoy an evening with us at the Crawford House while sipping on a cocktail or mocktail. Light refreshments will be served. This lecture is free to the public, though a donation is requested.
